Ingredients Method Notes

Ingredients

  • For the Cream Layer:
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Cookie Layer:
  • 18 to 20 ladyfinger cookies broken into pieces
  • 3/4 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso cooled

Method

  1. In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone until fully combined and fluffy.
  4. Pour the cooled coffee into a shallow dish. Quickly dip the ladyfinger pieces into the coffee, being careful not to oversoak them.
  5. Place a layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers into the bottom of each dessert cup.
  6. Spoon a layer of mascarpone cream over the cookies.
  7. Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, ending with a layer of cream on top.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Just before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
Do not soak the ladyfingers for more than a second or two or they may become too soft.
These dessert cups can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance.
For a fun twist, add a layer of finely chopped chocolate between the cream and cookie layers.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

How To Make Mini Tiramisu Cups

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

Brew a strong cup of coffee or espresso and allow it to cool completely. Pour it into a shallow bowl so it’s easy to dip the cookies.

Make the Cream Filling

In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until light and creamy.

Dip the Cookies

Quickly dip each cookie into the cooled coffee mixture. Be careful not to soak them too long or they can become mushy.

Create the First Layer

Place a layer of coffee-soaked cookies into the bottom of each dessert cup. Add a generous spoonful of the mascarpone filling over the top and smooth it into an even layer.

Add More Layers

Repeat the layers with more dipped cookies and another layer of cream filling until the cups are full, finishing with the cream mixture on top.

Chill the Dessert Cups

Cover the cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible. This allows the flavors to blend together and creates the perfect tiramisu texture.

Finish and Serve

Just before serving, dust the tops generously with cocoa powder. Garnish with chocolate shavings or coffee beans if desired, then serve chilled.

Bottom Line

If you loved these mini tiramisu cups, don’t stop with just one dessert! There are so many delicious no-bake treats to try next. Rich and creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Dessert Cups are always a crowd favorite, while Halloween Dirt Cups bring a fun twist for parties and celebrations. For another coffee-inspired treat, give this Tiramisu Chia Pudding a try.
